I was a litigation lawyer. I had achieved a lot, and I was on the fast track to worldly success, and what did I do? I gave it all up to write this book in a 24-hour copy shop, and just basically … I still remember being in Chicago at the American Booksellers Association, standing at the top of the escalators, and I had a book cover over my chest with a little string, and I was shaking hands with every agent that would show up trying to evangelize my message. And it made no logical sense, but something deep within my heart said, “This is your mission.” And until you discover that mighty mission, your passion will never really see the light of day.
